Moose and Goose Visit a Winter Wonderland

We finally took a family vacation! Well we've been on vacation before, but this was our first real trip with just the kids. We piled in the car and drove up to Bend Oregon for some fun in the snow. The weather had actually been unseasonably warm leading up to our visit, but we got lucky. The first day we arrived, there was what they call an "inversion", my husbands new favorite word ;)  It caused the sky to look grey and the temperatures to drop and we ended up with our own Winter Wonderland! I don't think the locals were too happy with the weather, but we sure were! Living in Southern California, we don't experience weather like this. We stayed in an adorable Airbnb which was decorated like my dream home! Farmhouse charm, but still conveniently located just a few miles from town. Bend was awesome. Super cute downtown with tons of shops, restaurants and breweries. My husband was in heaven trying all the local brews. I have to say it was magical eating lunch at Deschutes and watching the snow fall outside. While exploring the town, we even saw a Blockbuster store!!! Who knew they still existed? Bend had so much charm, we will definitely be back.
